Looks like a nice little update.

Android: The latest update to Gmail brings a few useful UI improvements, including a cleaner design for conversation view and other design tweaks like bolder checkmarks for multi-message selection. In addition, Gmail will now tell you if account sync is turned off (so you’ll know if you’re missing the latest messages or not). Read more on the Google+ update post.
