Samsung and Google jointly released the Galaxy Nexus just over two years ago, in October 2011. The handset is no longer shiny and new, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still customers using the device — it’s still for sale at retail locations like Amazon. And Nexus owners could be considered the hardcore Android fans or, in other words, the very ones who know about, and want, version 4.4 of the mobile operating system.

Might be worth a shot for those of you that own a  #galaxynexus

Two planes crash in fiery mid-air collision, everyone survives

This terrifying two-plane crash somehow miraculously resulted in no fatalities. It’s insane that people could survive after two planes hit each other in mid-air. It’s almost impossible that everyone could survive from the fireball and ensuing chaos after the crash. But they did. Thank God.

Before we go any further today, we do need to mention just how smooth Thursday’s launch of the Nexus 5 appeared to go from a retail standpoint. Google Play appeared to stand up to the nerd crush. Google Wallet — which in the past has been the bottleneck — handled the transactions as well as we could expect.
And phones are already shipping.
